We are delighted to announce that Amanda Courtney has joined NPA as our Organisation and Communications Officer. Amanda has extensive experience as an office manager in the charity and corporate sectors and is versatile in the many roles needed to support a community group like ours.
NPA is grateful to Norwood Action Group, Norwood Forum and Locality for helping to finance Amanda on a part time basis. Amanda will be a critical resource in supporting three areas: getting the planning groups formed and active, starting with the Key Industrial Business Area (KIBA) and Site 18 (Norwood Road – the retail heart of Norwood); managing all our communications and supporting web activities; and most importantly getting in motion our community engagement activities, including business, schools etc.
Amanda is involved in the neighbourhood already and is keen to get the community involved as much as possible: “I would like to thank you all at NPA for your very warm welcome and look forward to meeting more of you over the coming weeks and being part of the team. I have lived and worked in South London for over 20 years and am currently invigilating at The Elmgreen School for GCSE's and A Levels. As an Office Manager, I have worked more notably for the International Broadcasting Trust and CAFOD. I welcome any questions or suggestions relating to this aspect of the organisation and aim to lift the administrative burden so volunteer members can focus more on the core demands of NPA.”
