At the Norwood Planning Assembly general meeting on the 24th January at the Salvation Army Hall, about 70 people turned out on a cold and wet evening eager to participate in the development and planning of our neighbourhood.
The meeting endorsed the proposed constitution and went on to elect the following officers for the Planning Assembly:
Chair - Graham Pycock
Vice-chair - Noshir Patel
Secretary - Kate Aan de Wiel
A presentation was given by Graham Pycock, which can be viewed here and questions were taken by Graham and Noshir Patel. Minutes will be published shortly.
There was a presentation during the break by the residents of Knollys Road on the proposed development in Knollys Yard highlighting the urgency of local input into developments in Norwood. We also heard from the Director of Elemento, a developer interested in the Norwood Road.
It was very heartening to see the high interests in the proposed task groups on business, environment, building and transport. A large number of ideas and issues were identified. The good work that was started last night will continue and anybody interested in contributing to the any of the task groups should visit the Norwood Planning Assembly website and register their interest.
