What we are doing

The Norwood Planning Assembly has been formed to deliver a Neighbourhood Plan, which will control building development and land use generally.  This can include planning for:- the vacant site next to the Big Yellow – empty for 18 years; the High Street (London’s most run-down); the industrial area underutilised and full of potential; a public art and culture project; better design and higher standards in housing; improved retail offer; and more.

About Neighbourhood Plans

WE HAVE THE POWER

People in Norwood are empowered by the 2011 Localism Act to devise a Norwood Plan, which will control building and development and land use locally.  Planning applications in future would have to comply with policies agreed, after extensive discussion, by Norwood people.  This plan comes into force only after passing a referendum of electors in the Norwood area.
